CAP WAT-PI Experience
Venue: Mumbai
Date: 21-Feb Slot: 12:30 pm (However it was delayed by 1.5 hours)
WAT topic: “Today’s age is the age of man”. Describe impacts of mankind on environment, atmosphere and wildlife through various examples. -Wrote a decent essay with some examples and recent actions.
(Guys while preparing for WAT please ensure the time limit you set is of 15 minutes because I and many other guys in my panel felt that the introduction of WAT topic and instructions time are included in 20 minutes.)
PI: 2 interviewers 1 female 1 male (I was last in my panel)
M: So Chintan, what you were doing for the last 1.5 hrs?
C: Actually this is not the first time I have been the last in my panel, so I am accustomed to the process.
M: What do you think the reason behind that?
C: I don’t think there would be any specific reason behind that.( Wanted to tell more about what I was doing but he started asking next question)
M: Tell me about yourself.
C: Told
F Some relevant questions on my hobbies (I have mentioned cricket)
C: Answered
M: Asked about final year project:
C: Told
F: Looking at the certificates where are your extracurricular certificates? Dikhana nahi hai ?
C: I have put them in different folder did not want to make a congested file.
Gave her some extracurricular certificates she was not impressed.
F: Seems like you have not done much activities in your school/college time
C: I have done activities but I don’t have certificates for that (Told about organizing tournaments in college and show some certificates of participation in company sports event)
F: What is the recent book you read?
C: Freakonomics
F: That’s the book launched like 5 years ago why are you reading it now?
C: I have been inclined towards finance since the last 1.5 years (M cut me off in between)
M: What did you learn from Freakonomics?
C: told (Gave 2-3 examples)
M: Expressionless
F: What is the recent international event that can impact the IT industry (Working for an IT firm)
C: Told about stringent H1b visa norms.
M: I think we are done. Thank you.
Since I was last no toffies to biscuits.
Overall average performance, could have told more about extracurricular activities but didn’t have certificates to back that.
What do u think guys? (I have shared this on other thread thought this would be more relevant here.)
