Established in 1957, this university founded by the Gabler Publishing house, aimed at creating professionals, by imparting trainings to the financial sector employees. The Bankakademie, as was known at its inception, was re-founded in 1966, and the regional associations of private banking sector, the association of cooperative banks were added to the list of its members.

Since 2004 FS has achieved a university status with full authority to award degrees. Frankfurt School’s success is being carved by its students every year. With the embellishments of accreditations and rankings Frankfurt School takes a pride in announcing that it is the only German university to have secured global ranking with Master of Finance course, holding 27th FT rank.

FS is located in Frankfurt am Main, which is the fifth largest city in Germany. It is located on both sides of Main River, with Frankfurt city forest in the south and Taunus mountain range in the south east.
