The Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) has issued an official notification for the recruitment of 8000 vacancies for various posts of Teachers in the Army Public Schools. These Army Public Schools are affiliated to CBSE through the Army Welfare Education Society and run by the local Army authorities. There are a total of 137 Army Public Schools all over India. Candidates aspiring to become teachers in the Army Public Schools can go through the online registration through the official website of Army Public Schools: The last date for the online application process is on September 21, 2019.

The aspiring candidates will have to appear for the screening test organized and conducted by the APS as a firsts step of the selection process. Candidates qualifying the examination will be called for an interview round followed by an evaluation of the candidate’s teaching abilities and proficiency in computers. The screening test is scheduled to be conducted on October 19, 20, and 21, 2019, respectively.

The APS is planning to release the results for the screening test on October 30, 2019, through the official website. Upon clearing the screening test, the qualified candidates will be issued scorecards that will be valid for the lifetime. However, the candidate should take up a job as a teacher in any CBSE school within the 3 years from the date of qualifying the screening test for an uninterrupted tenure of at least 12 months.

Army Public School Teacher Recruitment: Eligibility criteria

Aspiring candidates should meet the criteria set by the APS to be eligible for the examination and the selection process for the post of Teacher in any Army Pubic School.

  • PGT: Candidates should have a postgraduate degree with an aggregate of at least 50% with the concerned subject.
  • TGT & PRT: Candidates should be graduates.
  • The maximum age limit for freshers applying is 40 years, whereas the maximum age limit for experienced candidates is 57 years.

Step 5: Another confirmation page will appear on the screen before continuing further, check the box and click ‘proceed’ to continue further.

Step 6: Fill the form with the required details and submit.

Step 7: Upload the scanned copies of the required documents.

Step 8: Make an online payment for the application fees.

Step 9: Upon successful payment of the application fees, the application form will be displayed on the screen, download and take a printout for future use.
