This becomes extremely stressful for students who have to strike a balance between two exams, none of which can be neglected. College exam marks are considered by recruiters during the selection process whereas admission into the desired management institute depends on the CAT score of the students.
Here are a few tips on how students can balance out their preparations for CAT 2019 and College Exams –
- Time Management
Time management is the most potent solution to every problem. If a student can balance the time dedicated to the preparation for each of the exams, they are sure to succeed in this challenge. They can make an organised routine which should be followed stringently. Time wastage must be minimized by cutting down on unproductive activities.
- Use of Apps
In today’s date, every minute can be put to use. Students often have to travel to college, coaching classes, etc. Instead of wasting this time, they can download apps for preparations. The three sections in the CAT 2019 exam are that of Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability and Quantitative Ability. There are several apps which not only help in improving these areas but are also a good way to kill time. This allows students to stay in practice without burdening their minds.
- Judicious study
The key to fairing good in both the exams is not preparing every subject vigorously every day. One needs to know how to study smart. Candidates must focus on one subject per day for CAT and likewise for college exams. This gives them the time to focus sufficiently on every subject and bring out the best results.
- Utilize weekends
Students generally have a hectic week with college classes, coaching classes, assignment and other such activities. With the weekend a little empty, they must prepare larger and tougher portions of their syllabus during these days. Weekends can also be utilized for practising factors like speed, accuracy and handwriting. They can self-time themselves for mock tests and revising the portions prepared throughout the week is also a good habit.
By following a few such steps, students can easily find themselves in a comfortable position with regard to their preparations for CAT 2019 and College Exams.
