BPSC (The Bihar Public Service Commission) is created by the constitution of India. It is formed to select the candidates for civil service jobs in the Indian State of Bihar according to the merits.

The recruitment is done by two methods. It is done by way of conducting competitive exams in which the selection is done. The procedures are, main exam (written) and interview of successful candidates of prelims exam, written exam and interview and interview.

The exam pattern for prelims and mains is as follows. The exam will be conducted in offline mode.

The BPSC prelims exam will be of 150 marks and also qualifying in nature, the scores will not be considered in the preparation of the final merit list. The question paper of BPSC will be in English and Hindi language. There will be no negative marks.

The candidates will be called for mains exam only if they qualify the prelims exam and has to secure the prescribed cut off marks as decided by the commission.  Mains exam will have a qualifying paper i.e. general Hindi.

The candidates who qualify the BPSC main exam will be called for the next round, interview. The interview carries 120 marks. The final merit list of BPSC will be prepared out of 1020 marks. The authorities judge the candidate’s personality in the round of interview.

Result:

The candidates can check the results of BPSC through the official website. The BPSC results can be checked through the steps:

  • Visit the official website bpsc.bih.nic
  • Click on the download pre result link.
  • A New page of BPSC Result will be displayed on the screen.
  • The screen will display the list of roll numbers who are shortlisted in preliminary exam.

The 64th BPSC pre result 2018 is likely to be released at least one or two months after the exam.

The selection process is completely based on the performance in prelims, mains, and interview. The final selection will be based on the merit list of BPSC.

The 64th BPSC combined prelims merit list for written exam is declared from the candidate’s performance in the written exam. The candidates who have obtained the top marks/scores compared to the remaining candidates those names will be listed in the 64th BPSC combined prelims merit list. And based on the merit list the candidates will be called for interview.

The pre merit list will be released one or two days after the prelims exam. The pre merit list will be available on the official website. The pre merit list contains the list of names and roll numbers of those candidates who qualified the prelims exam. This means they have qualified for the next round.

The cut off is also the main factor for the exam and it depends on the following factors:

  • The Number of candidates appearing for the exam of BPSC.
  • Number of candidates qualified in the exam
  • Level of question paper.
  • Availability of vacancies.
