Bihar Police Constable (Driver) Recruitment

The Central Selection Board of Constable is a government body formed by the government of the state of Bihar to recruit and appoint candidates to the post of Constable within the state. Recently, the CSBC (Central Selection Board of Constable) had released an official notification which is in Hindi, on its website mentioning the availability of vacancies for the post of Constable (Driver) in the state of Bihar.

All eligible candidates who are interested may apply for the post by logging on to the official website of CSBC which is www.csbs.bih.nic.in. The process of application is based online, and the online application portal has been opened from the 20th of October 2019 onwards. The final deadline for all applications has been set as the 20th of November 2019, after which, the portal will close, and no further applications will be entertained.

Candidates are requested to start applying as soon as they can since they have almost a month’s time. After that, no applications will be accepted. This year’s recruitment process is aimed at filling up around 98 vacancies for the post of Police Constable under CSBC.

The interested candidate must make sure that they go through the eligibility criteria and other major or minor requirements that they are expected to fulfill before applying online. In case the candidates fail to fulfill one or more of the mentioned criteria, their application will not be accepted or will ultimately be disqualified. Given below are 2 basic eligibility requirements that are mandatory for candidates to adhere to-

  1. Age limit- All applicants must be a minimum of 18 years and maximum 25 years of age at the time of application.
  2. Educational qualifications- All applicants must have passed their 10+2 examination at least. This is the basic educational qualification required beyond which applications will not be allowed.

The applying candidates will first have to appear for a written examination. The examination will be 2 hours long, and the paper will be of a total of 100 marks with 100 questions carrying 1 mark each. This written examination will be followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). However, only those candidates who qualify the written examination will be allowed to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test after their names are shortlisted for the same. The selected candidates will be duly notified about the details.

Candidates must not forget to pay the online application fee. Without the completion of the payment, the application stands incomplete and hence unacceptable. The cost of application form for candidates belonging to the General, OBC and EWS categories will be Rs. 450 while for those belonging to the SC/ST and PH categories, the cost will be Rs. 112.
