#1 Student Experience at VIT Business School – Sethumadhavan C B

When I reflect on my two years at VIT Business School (VITBS) MBA program, I can conclude that the experience has not only broadened my knowledge but also prepared me for the challenging corporate life.Through the case study-based learning approach, brilliant and competent classmates and excellent faculties, I was challenged to come out of my comfort zone and discover new areas. Foreign internships, Industrial visits, Workshops, guest lectures by corporate leaders helped me to get a real-time industry exposure.  VIT’s cosmopolitan culture with students from across the globe helped me develop my interpersonal skills. VIT also has world class infrastructure with facilities like well stacked library with e-resources, labs with access to databases like EBSCO, CMIE etc., class rooms with interactive smart boards, exams conducted on digital pads, well-equipped modern auditoriums, hostels etc. any B-school can envy of.

Under the credit transfer program, VITBS students get an opportunity to study at the University of Michigan Dearborn campus after the completion of first year from VIT, resulting in twinning degrees from both universities.

VITBS offers dual specialization MBA program, which allowed me to Major in Business Analytics and Minor in Operations Management. The analytics program was a perfect blend of concepts and hands on training on coding languages & tools like R, SQL, Excel, SPSS, Tableau etc. This paved way for a career in data science. I currently work as a Business Analyst in the data science team of Changepond Technologies, Chennai.

A Tip to MBA Aspirants : “Doing an MBA, will open doors to variety of challenging careers. Hence choose a stream in MBA, which suits your personality.”
