All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has opened online applications for Entrance Examinations leading to admission in Postgraduate Courses of AIIMS, New Delhi and six other AIIMS (Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur & Rishikesh) for the January 2019 session. The courses offered include [MD/MS/ M.Ch.(6 years)/DM (6 years)/MDS].
January Session
Registrations for the exam have now concluded and AIIMS PG Admit Card has been released for the January session. The exam will be conducted on 18th November 2018.
This Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) facility is being initiated for the Postgraduate Medical & Dental Entrance Examinations for the January 2019 session onwards and will be extended shortly to the MBBS Entrance Examination and other examinations subsequently.
AIIMS PG 2018 Exam Date
AIIMS- All India Institute of Medical Science is the entrance exam used for getting admission in Medical College. AIIMS entrance exam is also for admission in any 1 of all the 6 branches of AIIMS.it is an online exam has 200 MCQs to be completed in 210 minutes (3.5 hrs.) AIIMS exam has 60 questions each on Physics, Chemistry & Biology, 10 questions on Logical reasoning & 10 questions on G.K (General Knowledge).
In AIIMS-Each question carries 1 mark and 1/3 marks are deducted for wrong answers.
AIIMS exam paper is set in two languages Hindi, English candidates can give in any language they like from above.
- Eligibility criteria for AIIMS.

- Candidates must have attained an age of 17 years as on December 31, 2019, and
also, candidates born on or after January 02, 2003 will not be eligible to apply for AIIMS MBBS 2019.
- Academic Qualification.
- As mentioned earlier, students must have passed Class 12 under the 10+2 senior school certificate examination (CBSE) or Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination from a recognized University/Board from any state having English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subject.
- The total numbers of marks secured in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology obtained in the qualifying examination for various categories are as follows:
- General & OBC candidates – 60%
- SC/ST candidates – 50%
- PwD candidates – 45%

- Know the exam syllabus
The medical candidates from Class 12th preparing for admission in Medical courses in AIIMS must be well-aware of AIIMS syllabus. The questions included in AIIMS syllabus is based on the CBSE syllabus of Class 11th and 12th and is also similar to NEET syllabus as approved by Medical Council of India (MCI)

During the start of AIIMS MBBS preparations, NCERT books for Class 11 and 12 must be considered as the bible. It is compulsory to understand the concepts of each section.
- Solve mock test and previous year question papers
After going through the complete syllabus, candidates can start solving the mock tests and AIIMS MBBS last year question papers. With the help of taking last year papers and mock tests, candidates will get an idea of questions asked.

AIIMS MBBS syllabus is huge and takes time to complete it. After completing one topic or subject, candidates are suggested to keep revising it.

AIIMS PG 2018 Eligibility Criteria
Degree-Based Qualification
To apply for AIIMS PG Programme, candidate should hold certain educational qualification as enlisted below.
A] For MD and MS course, the candidate is required to
- Hold an MBBS Degree from a University recognised by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.
- He/She must also have completed the 12 months compulsory rotational internship or Practical training [as of January 30, 2019.]
B] For MDS course, the candidate is required to:
- Hold a BDS degree from University recognised by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.
- He/She must also have completed the 12 months compulsory rotational internship or Practical training [as of January 30, 2019.]
Marks-Based Qualification
The candidates must have obtained a minimum of the following marks in all the MBBS/MDS examination (in aggregate):
- Minimum marks in aggregate required for SC/ST categories students are 50%.
- For all other categories including OBC category minimum required mark is 55%.
AIIMS PG 2018 Registration
Registrations will be a two-stage process comprising of a Basic Registration and Final Registration stages
Basic Registration
- In the first stage applicants desirous of appearing in any of the Entrance Examinations (eg MD/MS or MDS or MBBS) in future will be able to initially register by filling basic details and uploading images almost a year in advance (Basic Registration)
- The candidates will be informed whether their registration is accepted, and their details will be stored with an unique identification number.
- Basic Registration process is free of any charges and thus no payment shall be collected at this stage.
- At a specified time prior to the entrance examination for a session (e.g. January 2019 session for MD/MS or MDS or MBBS 2019 session) the Basic Registration process will be closed and no further applications for that particular session will be allowed.
- The Prospectus and list of tentative seats will be uploaded at this time since the correct position will be known only after a session has started and seat allocation processes are closed.
- The applicants who have completed Basic Registration and this has been accepted can thus decide to either appear for the examination at this session or subsequently.
Final Registration
- In case the applicant desires to take the examination as announced, he / she can proceed for Final Registration.
- In Final Registration, applicants can fill remaining details such as like qualification details, choose the available city for examinations and make the necessary payments.
- These applicants will be eligible to be issued Admit Cards for that examination subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria as mentioned in the respective prospectus
Note on Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR)
The registration process will then resume and continue for subsequent sessions (e.g. after Final Registration for MD/MS/MDS January 2019 session the Basic Registration for MD /MS or MDS July 2019 session onwards and MBBS 2020 session will resume).
Those who have already completed Basic Registration earlier need not fill these details again whether they have appeared for the MD/MS/MDS Entrance Examination of January 2019 session.
However, every time the dates for Final Registration for subsequent Entrance Examinations are made, the Final Registration will have to be completed.
Thus, while Basic Registration is enduring, Final Registration is examination session specific.

AIIMS PG 2018 Admit Card
January Session
The Admit Card for AIIMS PG 2019 [January Session] has been made available for download on the official exam website of AIIMS. As of 6th November 2018, candidates have been notified of Admit Card availability for the exam which will be held on 18th November 2018. The candidates will have to login to the the official AIIMS website – aiimsexams.org to be able to download their PG Entrance Exam Admit Card.

By clicking on the screen you will get announcement updates informing you whether admit card is released or not for your course. Once you ensure it is available you may use to the Registration/Login page to access the AIIMS PG admit card.
Please note that only candidates who have successfully registered for the exam during Basic and Final Registration Process will only be able to download their Admit Card. It is mandatory to carry the Admit Card along with you for the examination day. Without this you will not be permitted to appear for the exam.
It is advisable that candidates go through the details mentioned in AIIMS PG Admit Card 2019 on downloading it. In case of any errors candidates need to contact Assistant Controller of Examinations AIIMS, New Delhi, via email to get the mistakes corrected before appearing for the AIIMS PG 2019 examination.

AIIMS PG 2018 Result
All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) will announce the result on 12th June for AIIMS MBBS 2019. The result will be released in the form of merit list and individual scores. The result will be published in two separate list; one will be roll number and other will be rank wise. The authority will release the result which will include the name of candidates, All India Rank (AIR), Subject-wise and overall percentile scores in the entrance examination.

AIIMS PG Cutoff
AIIMS, New Delhi will announce the AIIMS MBBS 2019 cutoff on June 12 along with the release of the exam result. The cut off of AIIMS MBBS 2019 is the minimum necessary percentage which needs to be scored in order to be eligible for the exam. AIIMS MBBS cut off 2019 for different groups will vary. Remember that all the applicants who will secure the qualifying percentile will not be eligible to join in the counseling process except for the open round of AIIMS MBBS counseling 2019.
