Last date to register for ACT for international students

The last date for students to register for the ACT (American College Testing) is today, March 3. The test is scheduled to be held on April 8, at various test centres around the world. Students can register for the test through the official ACT website. International students taking the test outside the United States, United States territories, Puerto Rico, or Canada, are required to create a free ACT web account in order to register for the test. The test fee for international students is $51.

For students who miss this deadline, a provision for standby testing is made available. This means that the students can make an appeal to the ACT committee to be allowed to sit for the test, despite delay in registration. An additional fee has to be paid for the standby testing over and above the general ACT registration fee. However, applying for standby testing does not guarantee a seat or a test booklet to the applicant on the test day. Test centres across the world admit standby students on a first-come, first-admitted basis and only if there are seats, test material, and staff available after all registered students have been admitted for their test. The dates to apply for standby testing is March 18 to 31.

However, students are advised to complete their registration today itself, to avoid extra payment and uncertainty.
