VITBS Vellore Courses:
The VIT Business School was founded in September 1994 as part of the Vellore Institute of Technology. Thus far, VIT was known for its engineering and technological programmes, VITBS was designed with the intention of changing this perception. The Business School began operating with a modest batch of 40 students.
These days, the VIT Business School offers programmes in business administration on UG, PG and research levels. There are provisions for a three-year-long BBA programme with options to specialise in Analytics, Marketing, Human Resources and Finance. The MBA programme, which is a two-year-long process offers specialisations in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Marketing, Systems Management and Operations Management. The institute also teaches a PhD programme with the option to do specialised research.
The course fees range from a minimum of INR 1.33 lakhs to a maximum of INR 7.03 lakhs, depending on the course. The MBA programme is the most expensive one of the lot while the PhD programme costs the least. The PhD students are offered a stipend conditional to the research work that they have conducted for the university.
