VELS University Admission 2024
Admissions for the year 2024 are now available at Vels University for its undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across various disciplines including agriculture, law, management, pharmacy, etc. Prospective candidates can submit their applications online through the official website at vistas.ac.in.
VELS University provides a diverse range of programs encompassing UG, PG, and Research in areas such as Engineering, Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, Coastal and Ocean Engineering, Animation, Film and Television Production, and more. Additionally, the university presents Diploma courses in various specialisations.
To secure admission to UG and PG courses at VELS University, candidates must undertake the VELS entrance examination (VEE) and engage in counseling sessions for the final allocation of seats.

VELS University’s UG Admission for 2024, covering B.Sc, BA, B.Pharm, BPT, B.Sc, BCA, BCA Hons, BBA, offers a diverse range akin to its professional courses. However, the admission process for the UG program is comparatively more straightforward.
Each UG course comes with a set of eligibility criteria that must be met. A qualified candidate will be invited for a personal interview, facilitated by a designated Committee of the University. The admission to these courses is determined by a combination of merit and performance in the personal interview.

For admission to the MBA and MCA programs at VELS University in 2024, candidates are not only required to meet the eligibility criteria but also to successfully clear the VELS Entrance Test (VEE).
The selection process for these courses considers merit, the marks obtained in the entrance test, and the qualifying examination. Qualified candidates will then be invited for a personal interview. The admission status of aspirants is determined based on their interview performance and scores. Candidates will initially participate in a group discussion, followed by a personal interview.

Admission to PG programs requires candidates to meet the approved eligibility and attain a minimum score in their qualifying examination. Selection is based on merit, and provisionally selected candidates are then called for an interview.
VELS University also offers admission to students in Diploma courses across 11 specialisations. The eligibility for the course is a pass in the 10th class. Admission to the Diploma program is based on merit in the qualifying exam.
VELS University also offers admission to M.Phil & Ph.D. programs. For M.Phil admission, candidates must clear a common entrance test followed by an interview related to their research interest or area. The selection is based on the combined score from both the entrance and interview.
For Ph.D. admission, candidates need to fulfill eligibility criteria, clear the common entrance test, and undergo a viva-voce conducted by the university. Selection is based on their performance in these assessments. Upon admission, selected candidates are required to pay the research and admission fee.

Application Process:
- Application forms can be obtained from the University office.
- Application forms can also be received through the post by sending a Demand Draft drawn in favor of ‘The Registrar, Vels University’ payable at Chennai.
- The filled-in application form, along with all the enclosures mentioned in the form, must be submitted to the university. This can be done either in person or by post.
