University College of Engineering, Anna University [UCEN] – Kanyakumari Campus Facilities

Library:

The University College Of Engineering Library, which has been established in the year 2009. The UCEN has a library of area 400 Sq.m. Many services like Reference, Circulation, CD-ROM Databases, Internet Browsing and e-services are provided by the library for its users.

Open access system is being followed in the Institute Library, and all the library activities are computerised, including bar-coded ID cards and separate On-line Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) terminals for searching books in the library.

Hostels:

UCE Nagercoil has separate hostels for boys and girls each with all facilities.

Provide good residential facilities with a hygienic environment.

Wifi facility with Hi-speed internet access.

The students can relax by involving in indoor or outdoor games such as chess, shuttle etc. during their leisure time.

Telephone facilities are available.

Health Centre:

The health centre is functioning within the campus with a Govt doctor from 4.30pm to 6.00pm including Saturdays for the benefit of students and staff.

Students Stationery Store:

The Students Stationery Store is yet another example of the active student-beneficial encouragement. This low-cost venture provides students with attractive alternatives to take care of their basic needs. One junior assistant and one office assistant work to operate the store.

The student/staff can purchase the needed items form the store by making use of their store purchase card only. The amount for the purchased item will be debited from the credit available in-store purchase card.

No purchase is allowed by direct cash payment in the store. The store will function during the Lunch interval, Tea break and after class timing up to 5 pm during working days only.

Students Akshaya Canteen:

There is a “Students Akshaya Canteen (SAC)” at University College of Engineering, Nagercoil Campus to give quality food in minimum cost to students and staff, through the College Hostel Mess.
