SNU Noida Facilities

  • Hostels: The residential student hostels are state-of-the-art as well as gender-segregated. All rooms have basic in-built utilities and are designed as a comfortable independent unit. Each hostel is fitted with water coolers fitted with RO and purifiers, a pantry on the ground floor, microwave ovens, and other facilities. All rooms and washrooms are well-fitted. The lady’s washroom is designed well and feminine hygiene has been kept in mind. All the common areas of the hostels are Wi-Fi enabled. Both AC and Non-AC accommodation are provided for the students. The AC accommodation is provided on a first-come-first-served basis.
  • Library:  The university has a centrally air-conditioned plush library that offers an extensive collection of books, scientific and technical journals, as well as electronic reference materials that satisfies the academic and research needs of students and the faculty community. The library also offers online facilities like Library Catalogue, Journals/ e-books, Repository, Resource Sharing, Thesis, and dissertations as well as E- Newspapers.
  • Transport: Transport services are provided for students and all members of the staff to facilitate travel to the city and any neighboring places during weekends. The services are provided to the students on a first-come, first-served basis.The student transport committee plans and manages this service, whereas the time for the bus service is decided based on demand and seasonal conditions.
  • Cafe: The central library building consists of a cafe that serves as a common area for the faculty members and students to interact over hot sumptuous food outside the classroom. The cafe also offers a variety of food, snacks, and beverages for a quick bite in-between meals.
  • Dining: The university offers several types of cuisines from all 27 states. There are two large Dining Halls (DH 1 & 2) that helps cater to the cultural and food preferences of students. The highest standards of hygiene consciousness are kept in mind. The dining areas are also well–furnished and fully equipped. Apart from the two main Dining Halls, there are also standards of hygiene consciousness and a food court in the main academic block; a cafe in the central library building and a variety of snacks are sold by the kiosks at the hostel block. The student-elected mess committee and the University administration closely monitors the quality of food served on campus.
  • Safety and Security: The safety and the security of its students and faculty members are taken very seriously by the university. The entire campus is constantly being monitored by a multi-tiered, 24X7 security system. The Campus Security Team is also on duty for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as well as 365 days in a year which also includes holidays and academic breaks. The security personnel patrols the campus round-the-clock. High definition CCTV cameras monitor the academic areas, hostel blocks, and residential areas on the campus. Access to the campus is also strictly controlled.
