Listed below are the academic offerings available at the institute:

Program 1: B.Tech

The institute provides B.Tech programs with specialisations in Petroleum Engineering and Chemical Engineering.

Duration: 4 years | Full-time Intake Capacity: 60 students per specialisation Eligibility: Intermediate graduate with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD). Final selection is based on the candidate’s score in JEE (Advanced).

Application Fee: INR 600 for Female and SC/ST Candidates, and INR 1200 for all other candidates.

Program 2: M.Tech

RGIPT offers M.Tech programs in Petroleum and Chemical Engineering disciplines.

Duration: 2 years | Full-time Intake Capacity: 30 students per discipline Eligibility for Regular Category: B.Tech/B.E. degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) and a valid GATE score.

Admission in Sponsorship Category: Candidates in this category must qualify in a subject-wise written test/interview. GATE score is not required, however, candidates in this category are not eligible for financial aid. Candidates must have worked for a sponsoring organisation for at least two years and provide a No Objection Certificate along with leave approval for one year.

Application Fee: INR 400 for General and OBC, and INR 200 for SC/ST/PwD and Female candidates.

Selection Procedure: Applicants will be shortlisted based on merit in the qualifying exam, followed by a written test and personal interview. Final selection is based on performance in both stages, GATE score, and previous academic performance. GATE-qualified students will receive financial assistance of INR 12,400 per month.

Program 3: MBA

The Department of Management Studies offers an MBA program with specialisations in Energy Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, and Human Resources Management.

Duration: 2 years | Full-time Eligibility:

Minimum 50% marks in 10th and 12th from a recognised board. Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks from UGC/AICTE recognised university. Final selection based on GMAT/XAT/CAT/CMAT score. Candidates meeting the above criteria with a valid score in CAT/XAT/CMAT are eligible to apply.

Application Fee: INR 400 for General and INR 200 for SC/ST candidates.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be shortlisted based on CAT/XMAT/CMAT/GMAT score (50%), academic performance (20%), and work experience (5%). Shortlisted candidates will undergo a written ability test (WAT) and Personal Interview. Final selection is based on the total score obtained by the candidate.

Program 4: Ph.D.

RGIPT offers Ph.D. programs in various fields of Engineering, Science, Social Sciences, and Management.

Eligibility: Master’s degree in a relevant discipline and a qualified score in GATE/NET exam. Final selection based on GATE/CSIR/UGC/NBHM/DBT/GPAT/Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship/Maulana Azad National Fellowship/or similar fellowship.

Selection Procedure: Shortlisted candidates will take a written test followed by a presentation/viva-voce at the Institute. Final merit list based on GATE score, marks obtained in written test, and previous qualifying examination.

Note: Scholarship eligibility based on marks obtained in Master’s degree and any national level test UGC/CSIR/NBHM.
