NIT Raipur PhD Eligibility Criteria
- The candidates must hold a master’s degree in engineering, technology, science, architecture, planning, humanities, or a related field, or any other degree recognised by the institute as being equivalent.
- For admission to the PhD programme at NIT Raipur, master’s students must have at least 60% of the required marks or a 6.5/10 CGPA/CPI.
- Candidates from the SC, ST, OBC (Non Creamy Layer), and Differently Abled categories may receive a 5% mark relaxation.
- For PhD admission to NIT Raipur, there is no age restriction.
NIT Raipur PhD Selection Criteria
- The Heads of Department will contact the candidates for interviews who have been recommended by the Department Selection Committee.
- The departmental selection committee will recommend the names of candidates found suitable for NIT Raipur admission to PhD programme based on the academic records and performance of the candidates in the interview and test.
- UGC/CSIR(JRF)/NET/Teacher fellowship holder/MPhil qualified candidates need not appear in written entrance examination. A cut-off mark is set at 50% of the maximum marks scored in the written examination department for OC/OBC/EWS as eligibility to appear for interview and at 45% for SC/ST/PH. Due to their eligibility, all such candidates will be contacted directly for an online interview.
