NID Ahmedabad Admission Process
All the applicants get admitted to the courses available in the institute on the basis of the marks scored in the qualifying exam. The only qualifying exam that students have to clear to get admission in the design courses is NID DAT (Design Aptitude Test). NID DAT is conducted by the National Institute of Design. B. Des and M. Des candidates are required to get a certain score in this exam. The exam is followed by the personal interview round. The selection of the candidates is based on the combined score obtained in the qualifying exam and the personal interview round score. NID Ahmedabad Results and Cut-off
NID Ahmedabad announces the cut-off list after the qualifying exam results are out. The cut-off list is the deciding factor in students’ entry in the institute for a particular course. The cut-off list is prepared on the basis of factors like the total number of appearing candidates, their scores in the exam, the difficulty level of the exam and the number of seats available in the institute for a particular course. Candidates have to cross the cut-off mark to get entry into the course. B. Des and M. Des candidates have to cross the NID DAT cut-off score.
However, the final selection of the candidates depends on the marks scored in PI (personal interview), GD (group discussion) and the marks scored in the exam. NID 2019 admit cards are made available on its official website from the month of May every year.
