About College

Kumaraguru College of Technology abbreviated as KCT Coimbatore is located in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is an autonomous engineering institute affiliated to the Anna University of Chennai.

KCT was started in 1984 under the patronage of Ramanandha Adigalar Foundation, a humanitarian educational trust of the Sakthi Group. 

At present, the college offers 13 Under-Graduate courses which include B.E. and B.Tech and 14 Post-Graduation courses including M.E., M.Tech., M.C.A., M.B.A. 

Kumaraguru College of Technology ranking in India is among 100 top engineering colleges and top 20 engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu by the National Institutional Ranking Framework or NIRF rankings 2018.

Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore has about 400 qualified and experienced faculty members and non-teaching assisting staff of approximately 395 members.

With the structured and well-planned administration of Dr.B.K.Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, Chairman, the ingeniousness of Sri. M.Balasubramaniam, Correspondent, the discretion of Sri. KCT Coimbatore Result and cut-off

The admission to the  Postgraduate level courses is done on the basis of entrance test TANCET conducted by Anna University each year and admission to the Undergraduate level B.E programs is granted based upon the marks in 10+2 examination followed by TNEA.

KCT Coimbatore Alumni Network

KCT is known to have maintained healthy and robust relationship with the Alumnus by conducting events and inviting them to the celebratory events of their campus. Some of the events that were held to construct an Alumni Network are Global Alumni Meet ‘17, International Conference on Wastewater management ‘17, KCT Alumni Career Enhancement drive/Chennai Chapter Reunion ‘18, Silver Jubilee Meet ‘19, etc.

Notable Alumni include S. R. Prabhu, film producer, Siddharth Venugopal, actor, Karthick Naren, director and Kathir, actor. Also, an alumnus of KCT is now commissioned as an officer in the Indian Army who was honoured during the Founders Day Celebration of the college.

KCT Coimbatore Scholarship

The Kumaraguru College of Technology distributed the Mahatma Gandhi Award for a scholarship valued up to Rs. 1.02 Crores as a part of its Founder’s Day Celebration. About more than 1000  students received this scholarship. More than 9000 students have been awarded this scholarship since the past 12 years.

KCT Coimbatore Campus Facility 

The KCT Campus is spread across 150 acres in the IT corridor of Coimbatore. The Kumaraguru College of Technology infrastructure includes an auditorium, hostel, cafeteria, library, bookstore, computing infrastructure, gym, KCT solar power plant, Mahatma Gandhi Study Centre, seminar halls, students centre, WiFi-Registration, bank, gym, etc.

KCT hostel comprises of two different sections for men and women. All common areas like dining, washrooms, lobby, etc. are arranged for separately for men and women’s hostels. 

The hostel mess is currently managed by the contractor, M/s Raja Rajeswari Kitchen and M/s Madampatti Food Service. The quality and hygiene of the food are well-maintained. 

A fully functioning cafeteria is situated in the campus adjacent to the workshop along with three other smaller cafes and refreshment outlets. These spacious and contemporary cafes provided for the students allows them  to take a break from their long strenuous schedule.
