About College

Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore is an autonomous, self-financing engineering college, affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It was started in 1984, with the mission of providing aspiring students of technical education, a challenging learning environment. Over the last three decades, several new courses have been introduced, and the institution has emerged as a trusted destination for quality technical education as a hub for research & innovation. KCT Coimbatore is ISO certified and is accredited by NAAC. Several courses offered by KCT are accredited by NBA. In addition to a host of engineering & allied engineering courses, KCT has also gained recognition for its uniquely tailored management education courses.

Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT) Coimbatore is an autonomous institution affiliated to Anna University. The college offers 13 Undergraduate (UG) courses (B.E and B. Tech) and 14 Postgraduate (PG) Courses (M. E, M. Tech, MCA and MBA. Additionally, KCT, Coimbatore also offers PhD in 7 streams.

  • Admission to Undergraduate (UG) courses requires a pass in 12th with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in PCM followed by counselling, i.e. Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) exam
  • Postgraduate (PG) courses admissions are made by performance in Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) administered by Anna University, Chennai. B.E/B. Tech degree in the relevant stream is the minimum eligibility to secure admission.
  • For TNEA applicants must have to apply online and after that candidate is admitted to the college according to the merit list released by the government.
