The Kogod School of Business (Kogod) was established in 1955. Over the years, Kogod has leveraged American University’s strong reputation to provide many opportunities for students interested in the nexus of private business and public service, giving access to a variety of organisations in the vicinity. In 1979, the school was named after alumnus Robert P. Kogod, a successful real estate developer, in recognition of his generous support. David Marchick has served as dean of Kogod since August 2022.
