ABOUT OUR POST GRADUATE PROGRAM IN DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT (PGP-DM)

ISDM's PGP-DM is a pioneering program in Development Management, combining in-class sessions with collaborative group work and a field component. 8 SIGNATURE COMPONENTS OF THE CURRICULUM

1. Personal Mastery for Development Leadership builds up the spirit of curiosity, courage and compassion in students by creating a safe space for teams to flourish and thrive.

2. A 2 week immersive field component on Realising India to help develop the students’ understanding of people’s lives at the district level, preparing them to design interventions.

3. A unique Context-Based Collaborative Learning (CBCL) pedagogy enables students to understand the contextual realities and complexities of the social sector through working one-on-one with experienced bricoleurs.

4. Live interactions with eminent speakers from the sector all through the year to help the students debate, discuss, pause, reflect and learn.

5. Specially curated workshops covering a range of topics from Group Dynamics, Radical Transformation Leadership (RTL) to future forward workshops on Networks, Partnerships, Fund Raising, Project Management, etc.

6. The Development Management Writing Centre equips students with the skills to communicate effectively (write, tell and present) using language that is specific and appropriate for the social sector.

7. A mix of courses in Development and Business Management Fundamentals like Financial Perspectives, Strategic Innovation for Social Change, Operations Management for Quality and Impact, Marketing Management, CSR, Behavioral Science, etc.

8. Special capstone project during the final term which focuses on scale and sustainability and consists of live projects with client organisations, thereby integrating learnings of the previous terms.
