- Admission to the 2-year M.Tech program is primarily determined by GATE score cut-offs and, if necessary, follow-up interviews. COAP counseling is used to make admission offers (Common Offer Acceptance Portal). Following COAP, the department may conduct additional rounds of written tests and interviews to fill any open seats. IIT Hyderabad MTech in Data Science
MTech in Data Science (MDS) at IIT Hyderabad is an extension of the Executive MTech in Data Science (EMDS) and is equivalent to the regular MTech degree. Because the course is primarily designed for working executives, classes are typically held on weekends or at other times convenient for working professionals.
The course is self-paced, with 48 credits that can be completed in 3-5 years.
