GECA offers B.E, M.E, MCA, Ph.D. programs in the departments of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, IT, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunications and Computer Applications.

GECA is carried out in offline mode. - 10+2 qualification is a prerequisite for admission to B.E, whereas a graduation degree is essential for the candidates applying for PG courses.
- Admission to B.E is based on Maharashtra State Technology Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET).
- Candidates are admitted to M.E through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and Common Entrance Test (CET) by GECA.
- Applicants must have a valid Maharashtra State MCA Common Entrance Test (MH MCA-CET) score to apply for MCA program.
- For Ph.D. programs, admissions are conducted through the college level entrance exam.

GECA B.E Admission 2018
The college offers B.E in 6 specializations. Applicants must possess HSC with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject as one of the optional subjects.
For admission to B.E courses, the university prepares the merit list of all the eligible candidates who hold a valid MHT-CET score. The merit list of the selected candidates will be prepared according to their scores.

Key points about B.E admission:
- Candidates who hold a Diploma in Engineering can also apply.
- 20% of total intake will be based on the Management quota.
- A vacancy created due to the cancellation of admission in any manner shall be filled up by the other candidate on the merit basis as per the rules of the university.
GECA M.E and MCA Admission 2018
GECA offers M.E in 8 different specializations. Applicants must hold a B.E degree in the relevant discipline for the admission to M.E courses.
Candidates applying for the MCA program must have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level.
Admissions to M.E courses at GECA are based on the candidates’ GATE score. Non-GATE candidates can also be admitted through the entrance exam conducted by the college.
For MCA, candidates will be admitted through the Maharashtra State MCA Common Entrance Test (MH MCA-CET).

Key points about M.E and MCA admission:
- The Common Entrance Test (CET) at the institute level is a written examination of 70 marks with multiple choice questions based on GATE exam syllabus, followed by an interview of 30 marks.
- In the case of employed candidates opting for part-time M.E courses, they should produce an undertaking from the employer.
- In the number of students for any course is less than 50% of the sanctioned intake, then the course will not run for that academic year. In such case, tuition and other fees paid by the candidate will be refunded.
GECA Ph.D. Admission 2018
The college offers Ph.D. in 3 specializations. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology in the relevant disciplines for admission.
Candidates applying for the research courses at GECA have to appear for the compulsory entrance exam conducted by the college. The written test will be followed by a Personal Interview round.

Key points about Ph.D. admission:
- The minimum duration of the course is 2 years and can be extended up to maximum 5 years.
- Candidates from the reserved categories will be offered relaxation of 5% in the qualifying degree examination.
- The qualifying marks for the written test is 28 marks. The selected candidates will be called for an interview.
- Candidates who fail to appear for the interview will be considered ineligible for the admissions.
GECA Application Process 2018
The application process is offline for all the courses. Candidates need to follow the subsequent steps to apply:
- Visit the official website of GECA
- Click on the “Downloads” tab on the homepage of the website.
- Candidates will be redirected to a new page.
- Click on “Application Forms” link.
- Fill all the mandatory details and take the print out of the form.
- Application fee has to be paid in form of Demand Draft issued in favor of “Principal Government College of Engineering” payable at Aurangabad.
- The duly filled application form has to be sent to the following address along with the necessary documents and DD:

The application fee for M.Tech for the candidates who have cleared GATE is INR 1000 and INR 2000 for non-GATE candidates. The application fee for the Ph.D. program is INR 3000.
