Gauhati University takes out the cutoff list every year for admission in their undergraduate and postgraduate programmes after the declaration of the entrance examinations’ results. The information is published on the official website as soon as the officials declare the results.
Gauhati University results at the various level are evaluated based on several factors such as the total number of candidates appeared in the exam, the number of candidates qualified for the exam, difficulty level of the examination, number of seats available for the particular course, reservations and section-wise cutoff.
Seats are reserved for certain particular parts of society. A total of 7% seats are reserved for ST students, 10% for ST plains, 5% for ST hills, 15% for OBC and MOBC, 3% for differently-abled etc.
