Garware Institute of Career Education and Development (GICED), Mumbai provides GOI (Government of India) Scholarships and Free-ship schemes for the candidates belonging to the reserved categories.

Candidates are advised to bring their caste certificate, income certificate, relocation certificate and such documents specified with changes from time to time as required by Social Welfare Department. These forms should be completed to take benefit of taking admission paying only minimum fees. Candidates who do not produce correct certificates will have to pay full fees.

How to Avail the Scholarship?

Candidates belonging to the Reserved Categories should apply for GOI Scholarship / Free ship in the prescribed form with all documents in original (only full time PG & UG Courses). The students have to apply Online on the official website of Maharashtra Government.

If the application enclosed is correct and complete, they are eligible to take admission by giving only following fees:

  • For Undergraduate courses, INR 125
  • For Postgraduate courses, INR 75. Enrolment or Eligibility fees, Sports Fees, Convocation Fees, Caution Money, Study Material Fees, Inplant/Training Fees, etc. and Processing Fee INR 5.

Students seeking GOI scholarship only, will be paid their maintenance in their bank account, to be opened in The Corporation Bank, Kalina Branch as per Social Welfare Department guidance.

Documents required at the time of Admission:

Original and Three Attested Photocopies of following documents should be submitted at the time of admission:

  • Caste Certificate in the name of candidate.
  • Father’s Income Certificate for the previous financial year from Tahsildar’s Office for scholarship and Form 16A for free ship students. In case of Father’s death, mother’s income certificate along with Father’s death certificate.
  • District Change Certificate for students from colleges other than Mumbai University or Mumbai Board.
  • ST from Ekatmik Adivasi Prakalp. SC, DT,NT, SBC, OBC from Vibhagiya Samaj Kalyan Adhikari
  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate for DT.NT, DTA, NT (B,C,D) ,OBC, SBC
  • Ration Card
  • Gap certificate if there is a gap.
  • Mark sheet and the Leaving Certificate for the UG students
  • Part I, Part II, Part III Mark Sheet, Passing Certificate for PG students
  • Experience certificate as required in course eligibility criteria.
  • Internship completion certificate from hospital.
