Birsa Institute of Technology – [BITT], Ranchi Admission Process

BITT Ranchi Admission:

Admission to Diploma Engineering courses at Birsa Institute of Technology, Ranchi is conducted through entrance examinations organised by JCECEB, Govt. of Jharkhand. Candidates who pass these examinations (Common Merit Rank) are eligible for admission to the respective courses. In case of vacant seats, admissions at the institute level are based on merit and are carried out after the counseling process of JCECEB concludes. Candidates from outside the state of Jharkhand are also eligible to apply.

BITT Ranchi Admission Process:

Admission in Diploma Engineering programs is facilitated through entrance exams organised by JCECEB, under the Government of Jharkhand. Those who successfully pass these exams (based on Common Merit Rank) are considered for admission to their chosen courses. In instances where seats remain unfilled, institute-level admissions are conducted based on merit after the completion of JCECEB’s counseling process. Candidates from outside Jharkhand are also eligible for admission.

Eligibility:

1. First Year: Applicants must have secured a minimum of 35% in the 10th Std / SSC examination.

2. Direct Second Year Admission (Lateral Entry): Candidates should have completed 12th Science (with Mathematics as one of the subjects) OR 10th + (2 years ITI) with relevant specialisation OR 12th Science with Vocational / Technical stream.
