Admission

Ansal University, established in 2012, is a private university located in Gurgaon. The university offers various courses in different specializations.

All courses offered by the university are divided into 6 schools including School of Art & Architecture, School of Design, School of Management Studies, School of Engineering & Technology, School of Tourism & Hotel Management and School of Law.

The process of admission to Ansal University for the different courses are as below:

  • Admission in B.Tech. programs are given on the basis of JEE Main score.
  • B.A. LL.B. and BBA. LL.B admissions are given on the basis of the performance in CLAT/LSAT/AILET or in their absence, the entrance test conducted by the university (AULET)
  • For admission in B.Des., candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 from any stream.
  • Candidates seeking admission in B.Sc. will have to clear a written test followed by a personal interview.
  • Admission in BBA, BBA and B.Com.(Hns.) and Optometry will be given on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying exam.
  • Equal weightage will be given to marks obtained in 12th standard and aptitude assessment for admission in B.Planning.
  • Admission in BHM will be based on the marks obtained in 10+2 and personal interview.
  • For admission in M.Tech. courses, candidate must have a good performance in both the qualifying degree and entrance exam (AUEE/ GATE).
  • Admission in LL.M. requires candidate to clear CLAT/LSAT/AILET or in their absence, the entrance test conducted by the university (AULET).
  • M.Des. and Masters In Optometry admissions will be given on the basis of merit.
  • M.Planning admission will depend on collective performance in Bachelor’s/Master’s degree, Personal Interview and Statement of Purpose.
  • Admission in M.Arch. will be based on Statement of Purpose and an interview session for the shortlisted applicants along with a portfolio.
  • MBA admission will be given on the basis of marks in Bachelor’s degree and personal interview.
  • For Ph.D. admission, candidate will either have to clear GATE or entrance test conducted by the university.

In the postgraduate program, Ansal University offers candidates various options ranging from M.Tech., MBA, M.Arch., M.Planning, M.Des., M.Optometry and LL.M. The admission process and eligibility criteria for the M.Tech and other PG courses are as follows:

Ansal University Research courses admission process

In addition to Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses, Ansal University also offers Ph.D. in Planning and Policy. The admission process and eligibility criteria are as follows:

Ph.D. Planning and Policy The eligibility for admission will be:-

– A Master’s Degree in relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks in aggregate; or

– M.Phil. Degree with at least 55% marks and Master’s degree with 50% marks in the discipline concerned

A statement of purpose of not more than 1000 words, entrance test and interview will be conducted for shortlisted candidates. GATE qualified candidates will be exempted from the entrance test.

Important points to note:

  • Entrance test for Ph.D. will consist of two papers, Research Methodology and Subject specific.
