The top 5 challenges that I solve at my job everyday are:

1) Getting work done by my team in an efficient manner

2) Expanding ISME into new areas of undergraduate studies

3) Continue to innovate ISME programs

4) Reaching out to prospective students across the country

5) Balancing work and home front

What according to you are the significant changes you would like to make in the structure of Management education in India or globally?

Significant changes which are required to be made in management education in India are:

1) Changes in the structure of the curriculum, where in the students spend the first one year understanding the basics of management education and the second year is completely spent in the industry with online academic inputs. This will enable balance between academic learning and real industry experience

2) Create a corporate environment at the institute so that the students find it easy to transition to their jobs.

How do you look at evolving your work in the coming years?

As we introduce more global programs my work will involve corresponding with faculty and staff from around the world. I can see my work evolving to be more virtual by using technology for interaction and teaching.

What according to you have been your most significant achievements this year?

The most significant achievement this year has been, bringing in top academic programs of UK to Indian students which include BSc in Business Administration from University of London UK with academic direction from Royal Holloway UK and opportunity for students to study at London School of Economics Summer School.

The LSE summer school brings together students drawn from around the globe, from different social, educational and ethnic backgrounds. This distinctive feature of the program gives participants a unique experience of exchanging knowledge and ideas across cultures. International experience is crucial to personal and professional development and generating ideas.

The above has helped me to make ISME a truly International School.

Higher Education is not considered as a lucrative career for many youngsters. How do you think this would change?

Hopefully over a period of time people will realize that higher education has many long term benefits for their career. At this stage it is only seen as a passport to a job but with good colleges people will value higher education beyond the job and having many long term benefits for their career.
