    (WBSEDCL) West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. was created in 2007 following the unbundling of the state electricity board of West Bengal & responsible for providing power to 96% of West Bengal with a customer base of more than 1.65 crore across the state.WBSEDCL has achieved a profit of ₹95.13 crore (US$13 million or €12 million) (PAT) in the fiscal year 2010-11.

    Along with the valid GATE Score card of 2019 the educational qualification required to apply for the post of Assistant Engineers in WBSEDCL Recruitment 2019 are given in the table below.

    • B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) Degree (including candidates who have joined the course through lateral entry) in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics (Combined)/power Engineering/B.Sc (H) in Physics with 3 years’ B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from any Institute approved by AICTE/IITs.
    Assistant Engineer (Civil)
    • B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) Degree (including candidates who have joined the course through lateral entry) in Civil Engineering/ Construction Engineering from any Institute approved by AICTE/IITs.
    Assistant Engineer (Mechanical)
    • B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) Degree (including candidates who have joined the course through lateral entry) in Mechanical Engineering from any recognized Institute approved by AICTE/IITs.
    Assistant Engineer (IT&C)
    • B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) Degree (including candidates who have joined the course through lateral entry) in Information Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics & Communication / M.Sc (Computer Science) / MCA / B.Sc (Hons) with B.Tech (3 Years’ duration) in Computer Science and Engineering from any Institute approved by AICTE/IITs.

    WBSEDCL Recruitment Through GATE 2019 Selection Procedure

    1. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their GATE 2019 score.
    2. Shortlisted candidates may have to appear for a personal interview.

    WBSEDCL Recruitment Through GATE 2019 Application Fees

    A processing fees of Rs. 400/- will be charged by the candidates. Additional Bank charges will be applicable for payment through Bank Challan.
