Union Public Service Commission has released the admit card for Civil Service Mains Examination 2016. The UPSC Civil Services Mains exam is scheduled from December 3 to December 9, 2016.

As per the notification released by UPSC, all candidates who do not have clear photographs on the e-admit card will have to bring a photo identity proof viz. Adhar Card, Driving Licence, Passport,Voter I Card etc. and two passport size photographs one for each session for appearing in the examination with an undertaking.
The Mains exam consist of nine papers with a total of 1750 marks. The nine papers are of subjective nature and consist of four papers on general studies, two papers of optional subject and one each on Indian language, English and Essay.
UPSC conducts the civil service exam every year for recruitment to about 24 central civil services including three All India Services (AIS)- Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Forest Service (IFoS).
