IIM Bangalore

Update: IIM Lucknow has reduced the fees by 10% for the PGP & PGP ABM. the fees will now be Rs. 10.8 lakhs from the earlier 12 lakhs.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has hiked its Post Graduate Program (PGP) fees by 13.3% to Rs 17 lakhs this year. The fees for the program last year was Rs 15 lakhs. According to information provided by the institute, the amount will cover tuition fees, hostel accommodation, health insurance, course and reading material including cases and books, computing facilities, library alongwith other academic and co-curricular expenditures. The information on fees applicable to the in-coming batch would be mentioned in the offer letters.

The institute has linked the current increase to inflation and consumer indices. IIM Bangalore had increased their fees by 15% last year as well, on account of infrastructural expansion. The current increase means that IIM Bangalore’s PGP program will be the costliest among all IIMs.

Among other IIMs who are yet to arrive at a decision on fee increase, IIM Calcutta informed that a final decision has not yet been taken but a substantial increase is unlikely. IIM Lucknow will arrive at a decision by next week.

None of the newer IIMs have hiked their fees this year. IIM Udaipur and IIM Rohtak, who were to take a final call on the fees, communicated that there will be no increase in both the institutes.
