Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer Notification Released

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct an open examination for Junior Engineers (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts). As per the notification, the SSC will be conducting the SSC JE 2019 Exam in a Computer-Based mode. All the important details of the exam will be announced by the SSC on 1st August 2019. Eligibility Criteria
The SSC JE Examination 2019 will be held in two phases – Paper-1 (Computer-based exam) and Paper-2 (Descriptive type). The SSC JE Paper-1 will consist of 100 objective type questions from the subjects, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Part-A General Engineering (Civil & Structural)/Part-B General Engineering (Electrical)/ Part-C General  Engineering (Mechanical) and General Awareness.

Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical) Three years of Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering/ Electrical Engineering from an institution which is recognized by the Central Government or State Government
Junior Engineer (Quantity Surveying & Contract) 27 Years Three years of Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognised institute/University/Board or equivalent; or should have passed an intermediate examination in Building and Quantity Surveying Sub Divisional-II of the institute of Surveyors (India)
Junior Engineer (Central Water Commission/ CPWD) 32 Years Diploma in Civil or Electrical or Mechanical

Engineering from an institution which is recognized by the

Central Government or any equivalent qualification

Junior Engineer (MES/ Farrakka Barrage/Central Water Power Research Station/Director General Border Roads Organisation/ Dept. of Quality Assurance(Naval)/ National Technical Research Organisation) 30 Years Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Civil

Engineering from a recognised University or


The SSC JE Vacancy 2019 also known as Junior Engineer (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Quantity & Surveying Contracts) Exam 2018 notification was released by the commission without mentioning the number of vacancies available in SSC JE 2018-19. However, last year, the number of vacancy in Junior Engineer was 362. But the vacancy this year is expected to increase and around 500 to 1000 vacancies are anticipated.

The SSC is conducting the SSC JE Exam 2019 to recruit candidates for the position of the Junior Engineers in various engineering departments. The Staff Selection Commission has released a short recruitment notice for the post of Junior Engineer 2019 in the employment newspaper week from 26th January 2019 to 01 February 2019. As per the short notice, the SSC JE 2019 Exam date is going to be announced later on this year.

The SSC Junior Engineer Exam 2019 is going to be conducted in online mode only. The candidates who want to apply for the exam should have acquired or completed the required minimum educational qualification.
