Staff Selection Commission – Western Region has released a notification about dispensing interviews for all Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted and Group ‘C’ Posts for which the Commission makes recruitment. This notification was released as a corrigendum to previously published Advertisement No. WR/01/2015 dated 21-27 March, 2015.

The revised changes made by SSC WR are as follows :

1. The Commission has decided to fill up all Selection Posts through online/offline objective type written examination

2. For the posts where there is a specific requirement of knowledge of a particular subject, the online exam will be of 200 questions worth 200 marks.

3. For the posts for which Higher Secondary or Degree in any subject is the basic educational qualification without specialisation in any subject/discipline, the exam may be for 200 questions worth 200 marks. This exam will be of general nature. 

4. For the posts where matriculation is educational qualification and without any requirement of a skill test like typing, data entry test, etc. an offline/online examination will be held. This exam will be held on a pattern of paper I of MTS exam.

5. There will be no negative marking either in online or offline examination.

It has come to our notice that some online sites are spreading rumours by connecting this notification to the SSC CGL 2015 exam interviews. Candidates should not pay heed to such rumours. 

This notification is released by SSC’s Western Region and not by the SSC headquarters. Secondly, the notification is related to specific posts in Advertisement No. WR/01/2015 dated 21-27 March, 2015. SSC has never stated that this is applicable to any other exams held by SSC. 

As there is no official notification by SSC regarding SSC CGL 2015, there will be no changes in the pattern of SSC CGL 2015 exam as of now.
