Within a decade of its existence, Balaji Institute of Modern Management (BIMM), formerly known as Indian Institute of Modern Management (IIMM) – the first B-School of Sri Balaji Society has been ranked amongst the top eleven private B-Schools in the country.

The sister institutions viz. Balaji Institute of Telecom & management (BITM), Balaji Institute of International Business (BIIB) & Balaji Institute of Management and Human Resource Development (BIMHRD) are also amongst the best B-Schools in the country and enjoy very good campus placements. All these four institutes viz. BIMM, BITM, BIIB and BIMHRD are approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. In excess of 1200 students from these four management Institutes of Sri Balaji Society have been placed in the industry by December or January every year although they are due to pass out only in May and June. This track record has encouraged the institute to initiate bolder and more innovative training methods with active support from the corporate stalwarts and the industry. The two have recognized the sincerity and seriousness to the cause of growth and development of students who are excelling in the industry and are proving themselves to be fast trackers.
The excellent faculties, an environment conducive for students, good infrastructure and stimulating atmosphere in the campus enable students to dream and work hard to achieve their goals. It should be noted that being a creative, experimenting and unconventional B-School, the course curriculum is constantly updated and this has increased the workload for students. We treat time as the most precious resource. Therefore, classes, exercises and examinations may be scheduled around the clock for longer hours and hence students are required to go through rigorous, hectic and a grooming or training process for 365 days. We don’t believe in the concept of holidays as two years is a short period to impart all the skills, knowledge and competencies. Therefore, only those who are medically fit to undergo rigorous and hectic schedule should seek admission. Positive attitude is another requisite that the society desires.

While there is a paternalistic approach adopted in matters of welfare and mentoring, undisciplined students are dealt with an iron hand. SBS is run on the lines of an industry and rules and regulations are considered to be supreme. Eligibility
Graduates from any recognised university with a track record of 60 percentage marks, that is only students with a minimum of 60 percentage in class ten, class twelve and graduation (55 percentage for SC/ST) are eligible. However in case of Executive Batch, a minimum of 50 percentage marks and five years of managerial or supervisory experience is essential. Those who are in their final year of graduation and/or confident of getting 60 percentage and above can also apply and furnish evidence of degree by October 1, 2009.

The same can be obtained by post for a payment of Rs. 1,550 by way of a bank draft drawn in favour of ‘The Director, BIMM, Pune’. Applications can also be downloaded from our website and sent with a bank draft for Rs. 1,500. Last date for submission of application will be December 18, 2008.
