The resource person and coach for the workshop was Mr Kanwal K Muthu. Mr. Muthu, who is B.E. (Mechanical) from Bombay University, M.Tech (Production & Industrial Engineering) from IIT Delhi, PGDBM from West Berlin, Germany and DIM from IGNOU, carried an experience of over 43 years in teaching, research, industry and consulting. Mr. Muthu has co-authored a book and has over 40 publications in technical journals. Some of the teachings of Mr. Muthu have been manifested in the form of 4 video cassettes, one of which on Total Quality Management (TQM) was also telecasted on Doordarshan. Mr. Muthu, who is a fellow of Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering, Institute of Standards Engineers & All India Management Association, is also the Director of Quality Circle Forum of India.
