“The Good Road”! A drama movie directed by Gyan Correa. I wounder if even 50% of movie lover have watched this movie but this has been selected as the Indian entry as the best foreign language film in coming Academic award.
Well i watched this movie last weekend. The good road seems to be a film which run on a silent highway in gujrat and with the story Correa wants to picture that highway is a place where different culture of people meet and the are of different kind GOOD, BAD and UGLY. The story has a truck driver “Pappu” who wants to die so there family will get money from insurance company. A family going on holiday in David, Kiran (The only gorgeous character in the film) and their son Aditya in car. Aditya will accidentally separated from his parents on a Dhaba and dabha owner will put Aditya into Pappu’s truck and told him that he will be dropped to his parents at a place. Aditya’s parents found his missing after several kilometer travel.
I liked a character in movie name Poonam a 10 year old girl who wants to go to her grandparents who lives in a town on the highway, she was hungry and tired and then she stopped on a place where she found a small garments drying unit where she got some food and later then she found that there child prostitution girls lives.
All story goes simultaneously in the film and it is well directed and a very well presented on the screen .But in last couldn’t find that Pappu successfully died poonam saw her grand parents but Aditya mate his parents.
Well but don’t think that its a right choice to send this movie for Oscar from India. I appreciate it that this film got best Gujrati film award but Oscar is a different thing.
I this as movie is produce by NFDC (National film development Corporation) so they selected this. Let’s see it where this film will make in Oscar as they are confident that film will make to top 5.
