RBI has released the most awaited ‘RBI officers in Grade B’ exam notification today. The Reserve Bank of India is India’s central banking institution, which controls the monetary policy of the Indian rupee. It commenced its operations on 1 April 1935 during the British Rule in accordance with the provisions of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.
RBI has invited candidates for the Officers Grade B positions. The details of these vacancies are as follows :
Post : RBI Officer Grade B (General) – DR
No. of vacancies : 134
Maximum age limit (as on 01-10-2015) : Candidate should not be more than 30 years of age. The maximum age limit is extended for the OBC, SC & ST candidates.
Educational qualification (as on 01-10-2015) : Candidate should possess a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree as well as in 12th & 10th standard examinations. (50% marks in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates)
Method of selection : Selection of the candidate will be done on the basis of online examination and interview.
Pattern of examination : The online examination will be held in two phases.
Phase I : This exam will be an objective type of examination for 200 marks paper.
Phase 2 : Phase II of this exam consists of 3 different paper as follows :
Paper I (Economic & Social Issues) : This is an objective type paper for 100 marks.
Paper II (English) : This is a descriptive type of paper for 100 marks.
Paper III (Finance and Management or Economics or Statistics) : This is an objective type paper for 100 marks.
