  • PSUs for Electrical Engineering through GATE 2017

    The score of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is used by several Public Service Undertakings (PSUs) for recruiting engineers in entry-level positions. It is also used for admissions to various Engineering post-graduate programmes around the country. GATE – Electrical Engineering will be conducted on February 11, 2017.

    • BBNL – Last date for applying February 27, 2017

    Pay scale – Rs 16,400 to Rs 40,500 per month

    Bharat Broadband Network Limited (BBNL), is a telecom infrastructure provider, set up by the Government of India for the establishment, management and operation of National Optical Fibre Network. It was incorporated in February 2012 as a Special Purpose Vehicle(SPV) under Companies Act of 1956.

    • IOCL – Last date for applying February 12, 2017

    Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) is a state-controlled commercial enterprise and its business interests overlap the entire hydrocarbon value-chain, including refining, pipeline transportation, marketing of petroleum products, exploration and production of crude oil, natural gas and petrochemicals. IOCL has also ventured into alternative energy and globalisation of downstream operations.

    • ONGC – Application process will open in March/April 2017

    Pay scale – Rs 24,900 to 50,500 per month

    It is an Indian multinational oil and gas company headquartered in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. It is India’s largest oil and gas exploration and production company. This PSU holds many sport teams, such as athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, chess, cricket, cue sports, carrom, field hockey, football, kabaddi, shooting, table tennis, tennis, volleyball and wrestling. Its football team, ONGC F.C., once played in Indian I-League.

    • Power Grid – Application process starts from February 15 to March 15, 2017

    Pay scale – CTC Rs 14.9 lakhs

    The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Power Grid), is an Indian state-owned electric utilities company headquartered in Gurgaon, India. Its original name was the ‘National Power Transmission Corporation Limited’, and it was charged with planning, executing, owning, operating and maintaining high-voltage transmission systems in the country. On 8 November 1990, the National Power Transmission Corporation received its Certificate for Commencement of Business. Their name was subsequently changed to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, which took effect on October 23, 1992.

    • HPCL – Last date for applying February 10, 2017

    Pay scale – CTC Rs 10.73 lakhs

    Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is an Indian state-owned oil and natural gas company with its headquarters at Mumbai, Maharashtra. The marketing network of HPCL consists of 13 zonal offices in major cities and 101 regional offices. It is facilitated by a supply and distribution infrastructure comprising terminals, aviation service facilities, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) bottling plants, lube filling plants, inland relay depots, retail outlets (petrol pumps) and LPG and lube distributorships.

    • HAL – Last date for applying February 7, 2017

    Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is an Indian state-owned aerospace and defence company based in Bangalore, Karnataka. It is governed under the management of the Indian Ministry of Defence.

    The government-owned corporation is currently involved in the design, fabrication and assembly of aircraft, jet engines, helicopters and their spare parts. It has several facilities spread across India. The locations where the manufacturing plants are operated by HAL include Nasik, Korwa, Kanpur, Koraput, Lucknow, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.

    • NPCIL – Last date for applying second week of February 2017

    The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) is a government-owned corporation of India based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It is owned by the Central Government and is responsible for the generation of nuclear power for electricity. NPCIL is administered by the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India (DAE). It was the sole body responsible for constructing and operating India’s commercial nuclear power plants till setting up of BHAVINI ( Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam ) in October 2003.

    • NHAI – Application process will open in April/May 2017

    Pay scale – Rs 15,600 to Rs 39,100 per month

    National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for satellite mapping of highways. It is a nodal agency of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, responsible for management of a network of over 70,000 km of National Highways in India.
