Prime Minister Modi will Address Nation Today on Kashmir Decision

As per the current update, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji will be addressing to the country today at 8 p.m on Naya Kashmir. During his address, it is expected of him to   bring clarity to government’s decisions on repealing special status provided to Jammu and Kashmir and part the state into two union territories, sources have said. His speech will play a vital role and will clear many doubts of the nation.

The last time he addressed the country was on March 27 during the Lok Sabha decisions when he declared that India had exhibited satellite missile (A-Sat) capacity by shooting down a live satellite.

Parliament on Tuesday endorsed a resolution repealing extraordinary special given to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 of the Constitution. It likewise cleared a bill to part the state into two union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

The proposed speech comes days before the prime minister’s address to the country on Independence Day from the parapet of Red Fort.

The Bharatiya Janata Party-drove government’s strong move to abrogate the special status given to Jammu and Kashmir and divide the state into union territories-Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh – protected Parliament’s endorsement on Tuesday with the Lok Sabha passing the new measures with an over two-third majority.

Gratifying an electoral promise of the BJP in less than 90 days after the Modi 2.0 government took control, BJP President and the current Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah had declared the decision in the Rajya Sabha, which affirmed both the resolution and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Bill. The Rajya Sabha gave its endorsement to the resolution on Monday.
