Maharashtra MBA CET is the entrance route for admissions to 366 management institutes in the state of Maharashtra, amounting to a total of 34,995 MBA seats. The prominent b-schools that consider Maharashtra MBA CET scores are Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) – Mumbai, Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Research and Entrepreneurship Education (SIMSREE) – Mumbai, KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR) – Mumbai, Prin LNWelingkar Institute of Management (We School) – Mumbai and Pune University MBA (PUMBA).

The examination was conducted on the February 27, 2011 with 89,620 applicants showing up. The written test is the first round in the admission cycle. This will be followed by a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview at the end of which the final merit list will be declared.

The entire admission process consists of 240 marks, the break up of which is,

Written test: 200 Marks

Group Discussion: 17 Marks

Personal Interview: 17 Marks

Academic Record: 4 Marks

Work Experience: 2 Marks (given only if you have worked in a listed company)

The highest score this year in the written test (that of the topper) is 172.

The GD-PI process is preceded by a document verification at Application Receipt Centres. The list of documents is available at http://www.dte.org.in/mba/.

Online Registration for the Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI) and receipt of call letter will take place from April 19 to 30 (5 pm), 2011. Applicants can now only choose the date of their GD-PI but cannot choose the location. The GD-PI location will be allocated on the basis of your written test centre location.
