KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan) comprises of over 1,199 schools in India and 3 schools located abroad. KVS is a system of Central Government Schools in India that are instituted under the guidance of MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development). KVS conducts exam each year to recruit thousands of candidates for both Teaching and Non-teaching jobs.

KVS conducts exam for various posts like LDC (Lower Division Clerk, UDC (Upper Division Clerk), Librarian and Non-teaching posts too. The online registration for KVS 2017 started from December 21, 2017. KVS has a total of 1017 vacancies in which 517 vacancies are made available for LDC (Lower Division Clerk). The KVS LDC exam is conducted by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan which is a Group-C post.

The eligible candidates were allowed to appear for the Phase-I i.e. the written exam which was conducted from February 19-23, 2018. The KVS LDC 2017 was conducted in two stages. The first stage had parts in it. Part- I was the Language Proficiency Test and Part-II was General Awareness & Computer Literacy Test. the exam was conducted for a total of 100 marks and the details about the negative marking were not present in the official notification of KVS LDC 2017. The written exam was conducted for a period of 2 hours.

Once the candidates are declared as qualified in the written exam, they will be allowed to appear for the phase-II which is the skill test and computer test. In the typing test, the candidates’ typing speed in the computer will be checked. The candidates should have a minimum speed for both English and Hindi. They are as follows:

  • English Language: 35 words per minute
  • Hindi language: 30 words per minute

Computer Proficiency Test: the candidates access to MS Word. MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Internet etc. for KVS LDC exam there is no interview process.

The Skill test and Computer test was conducted on November 13, 2018. But due to some technical and administrative reasons, the test for LDC and Stenographer posts were canceled and it was re-conducted on December 12, 2018.

The candidates scoring the minimum required marks in the second phase will be mentioned in the result page of KVS. In order to view the KVS LDC 2017 result, the candidates must visit the official website of the KVS. Following are the steps to check the result:

  • Visit the official website of the KVS
  • Search for the list of candidates who have been shortlisted for the post of LDC (Lower Division Clerk)
  • Provide the required details like your Roll number and password and click the submit button
  • The list for the shortlisted candidates’ merit list will open in PDF format
  • Click CTRL + F and enter your Roll Number
  • Then, if you are selected, your number will appear on the screen
  • Download the PDF and save it. You can take a print copy of the list and use it for future reference.

The candidates are eagerly waiting for the result of Phase-II. The results are expected to be out soon. The candidates must patiently wait for the declaration of the result for the Skill and computer test by KVS. The candidates qualified in the exam will be recruited by the KVS for the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC).
