KTET Notification 2019 Released

The applications for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test or KTET for the November 2019 examination are now open, and interested candidates can apply till 3rd October 2019. KTET exams are held by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan which releases all official notifications relating to it on the official website of KTET.

Since the Teacher Eligibility Test is a compulsory and important exam for government schools, candidates interested in teaching in government schools should apply for it as soon as possible. Here are simple steps that explain the application process in a systematic manner –

  1. Visit the official website

Applications for KTET can be made through its online website www.ktet.kerala.gov.in It is important to note that no other website or portal provides for KTET applications and they must be done using the above link only.

  1. Click on the notification

The home page of KTET shows several recent and important notifications with a blinking star beside it. Find the notification that reads ‘NEW REGISTRATION NOVEMBER 2019’. Click on the ‘Click here’ option beside it and continue.

  1. Read the instructions and details

You will be taken to a page that shows relevant details about the exam such as exam dates, admit card release dates, links for the syllabus and separate modules of the question paper. Make sure to read them. If you are a new candidate press on the ‘NEW REGISTRATION’ option. If you have applied before, click on ‘CANDIDATE RE-LOGIN’.

  1. Check the requirements

If you have logged in before you can skip these steps. But if you are a first-time applicant, you will require to read a detailed notification with regard to some instructions. Check the boxes that ask you to read the instructions and keep your accurately sized photograph ready.

  1. Continue registering

Once you click on new registration, a form will open up. Fill in all the details carefully and make sure to upload your photograph of the accurate size. It is important to register carefully as the details will be recorded for future purposes. Save your details.

  1. Make the payment

The application will not be saved without the payment. To finish the payment process, use any online mode of transaction and pay the amount according to your category of application.

The KTET exams will take place on 16, 17 and 24th November whereas the admit card for the exam will be made available on 25th October 2019. Interested candidates must also make a careful note of the eligibility criteria before diving into the application process. Some important considerations include-

  1. The Candidate should have scored at least 45% marks in Higher Secondary if they are applying for the lower primary classes.
  2. The Candidate should have a graduation degree, B.Ed degree or Trained Teacher’s Certificate (TTC), among other requirements if they are applying for upper primary classes.
