Aspirants who took the pen and paper based Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains on April 3, 2016, can check their recorded responses on JEE website today onwards. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also released the official answer keys for both the modes of examination to help candidates remove their doubts.

Students will need their Application Number, Roll Number, and Password to view the OMR sheets online. They also have the option to download it.

Aspirants should note that there is no OMR sheet in the online mode of JEE Mains. CBSE, the authority that conducts JEE Mains, has already emailed the question paper to the candidates. Those who opted for online mode can check their answers in the question paper sent by CBSE.

If a student feels that his/her answer is correct, but is shown otherwise in the answer key, then he/she can challenge the authorities by paying a fee of Rs 1,000 per answer. If the student’s response is correct, then the authorities will refund the money.

The OMR sheets will be on display at the site until April 22, 2016. If a student wants to challenge any answer, he/she can do that on or before that date.

More than 12 lakh students took JEE Mains this year. Of these, top two lakh candidates will appear for JEE Advanced 2016.

The result of the JEE Mains is expected to be announced on April 27, 2016.
