JEE Advanced portal has encountered an error following the sudden overload and has been temporarily unavailable ever since the result was out at 9.50 am on Sunday.

The candidates, who took JEE Advanced on May 22, 2016, are frantically waiting to check their result on the website. However, the server error has left them fretting and fuming, an exercise in vain.

PaGaLGuY spoke to JEE Advanced 2016 Chairman Prof KV Krishna about the technical glitch that has led to this server error. Krishna said, “Our server is on Google Cloud, the website cannot crash. It is serving, but the traffic is huge. We are trying to provide some more facilities, and it will be live soon. But everything has its limitation. The technical glitch is regretted and will be resolved soon.”

The JEE Advanced server is on Cloud, and request rate for the same was increased on Sunday morning to deal with heavy traffic. “Even the back-end servers are facing a lot of traffic. There are almost 10,000 requests per second, and JEE data server can hold up to only 2,000 requests per second. It is almost exponential. We are working on it, and students will be able to check their results soon,” Krishna assured.
