JEE Advanced 2017: Paper I and II analysis by IITians Pace 

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2017 was successfully conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) across the country. Approximately 2,20,000 candidates were eligible to take the exam today, May 21, 2017.

JEE Advanced 2017 paper was average in difficulty. 

JEE Advanced 2017 Paper I analysis

Physics

Paper was conceptual and difficult to score in multiple choice questions. Integer type questions were easy in Physics but there were no negative marks for integer type questions.

Mathematics

The paper was relatively easy as compared to previous year JEE papers. There were no errors in the paper and all questions were from within the syllabus. A good score can be expected from the students.

Chemistry

The Chemistry Paper was of average difficulty level. All questions were within the syllabus.

JEE Advance 2017 Paper II analysis

Physics

Except for 1 paragraph question, the paper is proper conceptual and at par with JEE standards. Paper was not lengthy. After long paper 1 & 2 were of same marks.

Mathematics

In comparison to last year’s paper, this year the mathematics paper was relatively easier. Paper-1 introduced a new matrix format. Paper 2 was of medium difficulty.

Chemistry

Paper-2 was slightly on the tougher side. Few questions were out of NCERT boundaries.
