The registration
process for the new entrants at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar
(IIT-Gn) is scheduled to be held on Thursday, July 21, 2016. Students must
reach the institute by 2 p.m. on Thursday to complete the process. If a student
fails to report for registration by 6 p.m. on July 21, it will be presumed that
the candidate is not interested in taking admission at IIT-Gn.

In the offer
letter, other than the details related to registration and fee submission,
IIT-Gn also notified students about their four month long mandatory Foundation
Programme. It is a learning programme structured around five themes; value and ethics,
creativity, teamwork, social awareness, and physical activities and sports.

IIT-Gn has asked
the new entrants to carry their games and sports kit which includes sports
shoes, track suit, and shorts, as they will undergo rigorous physical exercise.
Students are also advised to carry a traditional or regional attire for a
cultural festival at the end of the Foundation programme. Students can bring
along their choice of musical instruments that might be required while
performing at the cultural festival.

No students
will be permitted to take leave during the Foundation programme for any purpose
whatsoever.

IIT-Gn authorities are firm that being absent from any part of the programme may result in failing the course
