This is my second article, mainly a compilation of all those ‘Tips for Women’ I have heard till now and a bit of my own personal tint!
I live in Mumbai, to be honest a very very very safe city, but people can be awkward and cheap anywhere, I have a feeling that even if one single girl can go through things I have to say, it can make a change, as in, I have done my part!
1. If you are late – If you can spend Rs 400 on a pizza, you can very well spend another Rs 400 on a cab and go home.
2. Rickshaw – There is no harm in pretending that you are calling your friend/dad and telling them that you are at so and so place, you have got rick and you will reach within 10 minutes!
3. Trial Rooms – No, not all trial rooms are safe, maybe those in malls can be excluded but don’t just go for window shopping and take that risk! We need to realize that there is even 1% chance of that trial room having hidden camera or a hole!
4. Two sided/way mirros – There are tests available on net and yes two way mirros do exist! At least in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and all, it is NOT a new concept, they are not even that expensive!
5. Parking lots – You have a car and this is a BIG MALL! So what? Try to keep your car where other cars are, don’t be a rebel, if you are going to meet a friend just let them know that you have entered the mall and you are just parking your car, so if it takes more than 10 minutes that person can do at least some help!
6. Lifts – I wont say stop using lifts, just be a bit careful, are they isolated? Do they have lift-man? Can you use stairs? One mall I know has awesome lifts but they are just scary! I better take stairs!
7. Trains – Mumbai locals do have women/men police inspector once it is 9 o clock, you need to know which boggy it will be (mostly is it middle one)but well if you can see enough DECENT crowd like 12-15 men and 5-6 women in IInd class General, why not get in that?
8. Parlours – Ever heard of those tanning videos? If possible wear a loose and adjustable dress right from home if you are just going for regular clean up, why take pain of changing and crap!
9. Hotels – Almost all hotels have duplicate keys of your room, so your best bet is lock it from inside(those chitakanis and all) and if possible, keep at least one light ON.
