Do you consider yourself a precious gift from God?

Most of you might be wondering why such a question is being asked to you right in the beginning of an article. A question that most of us fail to answer as we often tend to get caught up in the daily demands of the world so much. We often ignore who we are and why we are here in this world. Right from our childhood we were a part of a RAT race and always being taught to be one step ahead of everyone else. But what we forgot is that at the end of the rat race we are still a RAT, that can be squashed and killed any moment by a superior being.

It is of utmost importance for us to dig deep inside us and find out the real us and what is our purpose for existence in this world. Right from the day we are born till the day we die we have a purpose, A purpose to live and let live, a purpose to achieve, a purpose to build upon relationships and a purpose to love and respect.

It does not matter how your life is right now, but there is a part inside you, who has all the required knowledge, skills and attitudes, to be a successful citizen and a catalyst to change. This inner you is easily accessible and you can actually go deep inside you and bring out the real treasure to make your life a beautiful experience.

How to discover your inner self?

1. They say communication is a two way process, but accordingly it should be first a one way process. We should be learning the art of communicating with ourselves. We should be able to find more time to speak to ourselves, but unfortunately we do not do that as we do not get anything out of it. Communicating to oneself is the key to eternal happiness.

2. Take regular feedbacks about yourself from others. This will help one to understand his /her Blind area (Characteristics known to others and unknown to you). Feedbacks will also help you to understand yourself better.

3. Reserve a few minutes a day completely for yourself. Do not let anything deviate you. Utilize this time to briefly analyze the day and also to plan out the next day. Many unanswered questions are answered in this way.

4. Try to spend less time on entertainment as it deviates you more than anything else. Try not to waste time by watching TV for long hours or watching movies every week, etc. This will eat away your valuable time and also will obstruct you in knowing your inside story.

5. Maintain a healthy work life balance as it is important to have enough personal time to discover the inside you.

6. Have a mentor, both in your personal as well as professional life.
