Where is Udaipur?
Admissions will be based on the CAT 2010 scores, for which a General category candidate needs to have at least 90 percentile overall and 80 percentile in each section. Those with good CAT scores can rejoice, because IIM Lucknow, the mentor institute of IIM Kashipur plans to allot 70% weight to the CAT 2010 score and 30% weight to a Personal Interview for admissions. No Group Discussion or Essay has been mentioned.
The total PGP intake will be 60 seats and the fees will be Rs 8 lakhs for the two years.
The last date to submit the application form for IIM Kashipur is April 18, 2011.
Where is Kashipur?
This takes the total number of operational IIMs to 13. The government had in 2008 announced six new IIMs, of which the ones at Ranchi, Rohtak, Raipur and Trichy are already operational. With IIM Udaipur and Kahipur rolling, the government has fully implemented its expansion plans of the state-owned business school franchise.
