IBPS Recruitment 2019

To encourage the youth of our country to join the banking sector as young graduates and for their organised recruitment, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, commonly known as the IBPS, was established. The IBPS carries out the recruitment of such individuals after a clear assessment of their qualifications and capabilities.

For this purpose, IBPS conducts several examinations pertaining to different posts. Most recently, IBPS had organised the IBPS PO/MT examination, which was carried out for the recruitment of Probationary Officers (PO) or Management Trainees (MT).

Earlier this year, IBPS has announced the vacancy for a total of 4,336 posts for PO and MT in several banks across India. For the selection of Probationary Officers and Management Trainees, the IBPS carried out the selection in two stages comprising of a Preliminary examination and the Main Examination. The Preliminary exam this year was conducted on 12th October 2019, 13th October 2019, 19th October 2019, and 20th October 2019.

According to the analysis of the question papers by the experts, the difficulty level of the paper for this year was moderate. Only those candidates who will clear the preliminary round will be able to appear for the Main Examination. The Mains will also be followed by an interview of shortlisted candidates.
