The Gauhati High Court was established in 1948 after the Government of India Act 1935 was passed. It was originally known as the High Court of Assam and Nagaland, but renamed as Gauhati High Court later.
The Guwahati high court has invited candidates for Stenographer grade – III positions. Details of these vacancies are as follows,

Total no. of vacancies : 191
Maximum age limit : Maximum age limit for the interested candidates is 38 years for General / OBC category, 43 years for SC category & 48 years for ST category.
Essential Qualification : Interested candidates should have passed their Matriculation (10th) from any recognised Board/Council/University.
Candidate must bear a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/Shorthand from ITI/ Polytechnic/ any other institute.
Candidate should have adequate knowledge of official/local language of the state of Assam.
Pay scale (in Rs. per month) : 5,200 – 20,200 + Grade Pay 2,900
