Indian Institute of Science (IISc), the organising institute for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2016, is refunding multiple payments made by the applicants in October last year.

In order to apply for GATE, students need to pay an amount of Rs 1,500 through online banking or e-challan. However, sometimes due to network issues, online payments get stuck and  applicants tend to repeatedly pay to be on the safer side.

Hence GATE is refunding those who paid multiple times and had their money deducted on each occasion. Those who have still not received the refund can contact GATE authorities.

Meanwhile, GATE officials  have also released the answer key for students to contest their answers. Disparities found can be challenged at a cost of Rs 500 pr answer. Students can contest their answers on GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS), till midnight of March 2, 2016. Applicants should note that for all disputes about the answer key, the decision of the GATE 2016 committee will be final.
